What happens when you get BORED!

I am a stay at home mom/housewife and love what I do. HOWEVER, a girl can only clean, dust, vacuum, and do laundry so much in a day. After the fun is over with the housework a mind tends to wander and eventually the hands end up on the keyboard and the computer is suddenly on the Internet. And a surfing we will gooooooooo! =o)

I never really realized until the last little while how BIG blogging has become and how MANY there are out there. There are some really good ones, which is what brings me here today. After surfing the net and reading some of this stuff, I decided "I wanna play toooooooooooo" so here I am. I really must warn you though, if you are looking for great writing, totally correct spelling or punctuation, you are reading the wrong blog. =P

Now I guess I should introduce you to the rest of the bunch...

This is me and my hubby Scott on the patio at my mom's house NASCAR weekend in 2007. He is my white knight and has been for 13 years now. Scott keeps life interesting, fun, and sometime frustrating but overall, I couldn't ask for much more. Wellllllll, except to get a little of the "pack rat" out of his blood.

There's not much I can say about myself in this cornball picture. I hate pictures of myself and have no good pictures soooo this is probably the one and only picture you'll see of me here unless I get one that looks better and then I'll replace this one. =P

Josalyn is a camera freak and loves to take pictures. (Especially of herself. ) =P So you will probably see many, many pictures of her here cuz we have LOTS and LOTS to choose from. No really, she is a great kid and doesn't usually cause much trouble. (Searching from some wood to knock on right quick!) I can only hope her brother is as easy when he hits the dreaded teenage years!

We will probably have a lot to write about Josalyn in the coming months since she just found out yesterday she was successful at tryouts and made the JV Softball team for Valley High School. We are very proud of her and known she'll do a great job!

Dylan is the baby (well, the human baby) of the family. He has a lot of energy and a very creative but sometimes mischievous mind. The school he attends is a magnet school and the curriculum is centered around arts and communications. He loves his school and has been very active in the morning news productions this year. Currently, he is mentoring fourth graders who will be doing the morning news next year after Dylan's class has moved on to middle school.

This year he played the part of Will in his school's production of "Oklahoma" and did an AWESOME job! One thing about it, he is not afraid to do his thing no matter how big the crowd. Sometimes I think he gets more embarrassed around family and friends than he does preforming in front of a theater full of strangers. At any rate, he does a really good job and plays his parts to the fullest.

And finally, the other (canine) baby of the family... Moose!

Moose is a full-bred Akita and he will be three years old in just a few days. He outweighs almost everyone in the house and eats about 40 - 50 pounds of dog food every month. Talk about a healthy appetite! He brings a lot of fun and adventure to our household though and we love him dearly. I nicknamed him "Baby Huey" because he is so big and clumsy. He doesn't realize he is much bigger than most dogs and just wants them to play with him but usually ends up scaring them to death instead. He loves to go on walks and is probably getting antsy to start going again now that it's warm enough for his wimpy owners to take him.
