Teenagers LOVE early mornings

Our household rises very early in the morning. Josalyn is usually up by 4:30 a.m. and in the shower getting a start on her day. Scott follows right after her at 4:45 a.m. Since the school she attends is a magnet school, she has one more class than regular public school students and starts school an hour before the regular school day begins.

After starting softball practices and practicing 2-3 hours a day six days a week she has started to really understand the meaning of dog tired! Now morning comes and her face looks a lot like it does in this picture I snuck in on her at 5:30 this morning.

All of her hard work is paying off though. She just found out yesterday that she will most likely be the starting pitcher for their first game next week. CONGRATULATIONS JOSALYN!! We knew you could do it. Now just smile pretty for the picture and stop growling!
